Treat Everyday Like It's A Friday

Tonight Pastor David proclaimed that we need to treat Everyday like a Friday. This statement is initiated from Joel Osteen's new book "Everyday A Friday".

Pastor David states that this year is a "YEAR OF COMPLETION".

This is 2012 and 12 is the number for completion or finishing. God is going to finish what He started in each of us. We are going to see breakthroughs that we never imagined possible. There are pillars or stepping stones that need to be in place, plotting our path, for without a plan, we just meander through life. God is going to stretch our capacity, we need to stop focusing on what we aren't and focus on what God IS.

We are to use the Word to speak into our future:
  • I'm going to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Cor 5:7)
  • I'm not going to lean on my own understanding (Prov 3:5)
  • I'm going to acknowledge Him in all my ways (Prov 3:6)
  • He's going to direct my path (Prov 3:6)
  • He brings health into my life (Psalm 103:3)
It's not that we don't do the right things, we just don't do them long enough.

Make up your mind that you're going to love 2012 BEFORE you see evidence of it and make Everyday a Friday!!!

Humans are pre-programmed to react to facial expressions. Smiles are contagious and a chip on your shoulder detaches you from blessings.
You make known to me the path of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence, with eternal pleasures at your right hand. Psalm 16:11
12 represents completeness.

The bible is all about numbers 12 gates, 12 pearls, 12 angels, 12 disciples.
There are matrixes of 3's:
• Faith, Hope Love
• Father, Son, Holy Ghost
• Outer Court, Inner Court, Holy of Holies

God provides stepping stones to life.

12 stones. 12 tribes.
12 is the number of completion
7 is God's number
6 is the number of man
John 3:16 are THEE numbers of life.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John 3:16
Believe in 2012!

It's not that we don't do the right things,
we just don't do them long enough.

The Old Man and the Nurse

There once was an old blind man going to see his room in an assisted living home.
As they were walking down the hall, he tells the nurse, "I LOVE it!"
The nurse says, "Wait until we get there, you haven't even seen it yet."
He says, "Oh tell me more about it, I love it!"
She says, "How can you love it, wait until we get there."
He says, "Oh no, I love it NOW!"
She asks, "Why?"
He says, "I made up my mind that I was going to love it before I even got here."

The story of Elijah, Obadiah and the drought in Samaria - 1 Kings 18
http://www.biblegateway.com/1Kings18
God told Elijah to prophesy drought, after 3 years, Elijah tells the false prophets to call down their god to burn up an offering on an alter.

Elijah eggs them on while watching their futile efforts for hours.

Elijah took 12 stones, 'one for each of the tribes descended from Jacob, to whom the word of the LORD had come', had the wood and offering soaked in water, 3 times they soaked it (considered to be a wasteful act in a drought) and the water ran off into a trench around the alter, and...

"Then the fire of the LORD fell and burned up the sacrifice, the wood, the stones and the soil, and also licked up the water in the trench." 1 Kings 18:38
And the people turned from the false god to the God of Abraham.

From the top of Mt Carmel, Elijah prayed for rain, telling his servant to go and look for clouds 7 times and when there was a just a small cloud in the distance, Elijah gave word for all to get prepared because the rain was a-comin'!!!

Don't say, "When God when, why God why?"

Tell God, I thank you for this situation and all that you are doing in it.

This is the year for God to finish what He has started in your life.
Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith... Hebrews 12:2
Afterward he brought me again unto the door of the house; and, behold, waters issued out from under the threshold of the house eastward: for the forefront of the house stood toward the east, and the waters came down from under from the right side of the house, at the south side of the altar. Ezekiel 47:1
Then He showed me the river whose waters give life, sparkling like crystal, flowing out from the throne of God and of the Lamb, through the middle of the broadway of the city; also, on either side of the river was the tree of life with its twelve varieties of fruit, yielding each month its fresh crop; and the leaves of the tree were for the healing and the restoration of the nations. Revelation 22:1-2
God was stretching their capacity.

You're going to see breakthrough this year that you never thought was possible.

A mind stretched never returns to it's original shape.

Put your mind on what God says about you.

It's going to be an Ephesians 3:20 YEAR!!!

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us... Ephesians 3:20

Stop focusing on what you aren't and focus on what God IS!!!

It's not about what you did or even what you could do. It's about what He can do if you truly focus and say these are the stepping stones for my new year.

My child, pay attention to what I say.
Listen carefully to my words.
Don’t lose sight of them.
Let them penetrate deep into your heart,
for they bring life to those who find them,
and healing to their whole body. Proverbs 4:20-22

Say Everyday is Friday!

And this is going to be my year for God to do what He has promised me He would do.

The same God that brought down the fire for Elijah will make this YOUR year!!!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Pastor David's Closing Words for YOU!!!
If you don't set goals, you meander through life.
I have a goal for this church.
I have a goal for your life.
The goal that I have for your life is for you to come to know God better.
When you get to know Him, He's sweeter than you think, He's kind, He's gentle, tender, loving... and He IS organized.
Get involved with organized religion. I believe it's coming back in a GREAT way and I believe people want to be involved in a church that is doing the right thing because it's right and we're going to do it right. We're going to serve the Lord with gladness. We're going to come into God's house with thanksgiving. We're going to have stones for our kids to step up on. We're going to put stones in place for our own life.
God I ask you. As the Pastor for this great great church, allow this my 1st sermon of the year in this building to penetrate out hearts, to impregnate our spirits, to understand that this is the matrix of a miracle and say this is the day that we start 2012.
God we aren't limping in, but leaping in by faith. We're saying "Everyday is a Friday".
Even though we can't see it, we're like the blind man and saying we're already happy even before we get there. We already see the healing, the promotion, the happiness, the clean bill of health.
God we are a faith people and we believe in a God who can do extraordinary, abnormal, miraculous things in our life and I rebuke the devil off of your life and the spirit of discouragement that is saying this year will be like last year.
I declare right now that when your past calls you, you let it go to voicemail. You prophesy over him and say you know what devil, your past is very negative and your future is very negative but MY future is bright for
 ...no weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises up against me in judgement shall be cut off and shown to be wrong
I rebuke you devil, as the pastor of this church, over these great people. That the anointing of God that is upon me shall come upon their heads.
